Technical Data:

Camera Type. Canon T90 tripod mounted. Camera lens. Canon 24mm prime fitted with 81C and grey grad filters. Film Used. Fujichrome RVP exposed for 20 seconds @ f16.

Digital camera shots are RAW. Film camera shots are scanned from slides or negatives. Resulting digital files are adjusted for sharpness, composition, levels and colour on a computer using digital darkroom software.

Situated on Whitehaven's West Pier this relic of the great days of sail is sadly no more due to vandalism.

Just pleased I took this photo, which has become a popular picture, when I did.

Technical Observations:

The pink colour in the sky is due to a combination of evening light, long film exposure and an 81C warming filter.
