Ennerdale
We are at the western edge of Lakeland here and Ennerdale Water itself provides drinking water for West Cumbrian towns and villages.
A walk around the lake shouldn't take more than two or three hours and is a pleasant lakeside 'round.'
The walk to Black Sail hut deep into the valley is some six miles and so be aware this is a deep valley of which the lake forms only a small part.
