Loweswater
One of the quieter lakes probably overlooked by many tourists because of a screen of trees which runs along its length between road and lake.
Not much in the way of parking either and so an early visit is recommended. Be aware that lakeside access is not always possible if doing the round but don't let that detract as walking around Loweswater is one of the delights of a Lakeland visit.
