Silloth Carnivals
The Last of the West Cumbrian carnivals in the calender year and so is always well attended. The event seems to grow in stature year on year.
Silloth Carnival takes place on August Bank Holiday Monday and although there are other attractions around on this day a fine time can be had by all.
Years 2008-9 were a washout with extreme rain and subsequent doubts about the viability of the carnival being muted. However, 2010 saw a return to sunny Silloth weather and a good time. Congrats are due to all who made the effort to participate in the carnival parade.
