A casual observer may note a prevalence of Whitehaven pictures, no surprise really as this is where selling started and JRT Pictures were sold in the town for several years. The rest, whitedash Falls excepted, are from the west lakes-cumbria area due to several years selling from craft shops and a studio in that area.

Trading from retail outlets for the most part has now ceased and photography has been reclaimed as a hobby.

Your Choice

Who knows why a particular picture captures the imagination and prompts someone to actually pay for it, frame it and have it hanging in their home or workplace.

Occasionally I get point of sale feedback and here are just some of an eclectic mix of reasons why JRT pictures have been purchased including the funny, the poignant and the bizarre........

Blencathra

"My boyfriend is going abroad and he will miss it."

Whitehaven Sunset

"It looks like the Caribbean."

Inner Harbour Sunset

"It's not there anymore so this is an historic picture." .... and .... "It's a present for Leipzig University exchange students and may I say your website simply does not do justice to your pictures."

River Esk in Flood

"That's my house down there!"

Wastwater

"You must have taken it from the same spot we had our last picnic with our Grandmother before she died."

Derwentwater from Calfclose Bay

"I looked at your picture every day at breakfast in my guesthouse and now that I am back home I miss it."
