Kirkfell
January 1996 and I had been to Burnmoor Tarn which lies on the plateau between Wasdale and Eskdale. Here I am returning into Wasdale down an icy path with good late afternoon light in freezing temperatures.
Puffy white clouds are floating about and casting some interesting shadows on the fell sides.
I set up the camera, compose the picture and wait awhile, watching the light play in the valley below.
The scene is recorded while a strong shadow is cast onto the face of Kirkfell moving like some primordial beast through the valley.
