Rainbow at Scafell
There is always a potential for rainbows with squalls moving through this valley and so it proved on this auspicious day.
I was actually photographing Illigill Head and the scree slope which runs down into Wastwater just off to the right of this scene when my attention was drawn away.
Both 35mm and medium format systems I was carrying were put to good use as many shots were taken in the following minutes. I turned a lens back onto Illigill Head only later as a Rainbow at Scafell is quite special.
Magical days in Wasdale.
